The IE Admissions Test is taken once — there is no retake, and IE never tells you your score. That makes the first time you sit it under real conditions the only time that counts. This package covers all five areas at the pace the real test demands, so the clock is not the thing you learn on the day.

It depends on your programme, and they are mutually exclusive.
60 minutes — Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Data and Business Analytics, Environmental Sciences for Sustainability, and their Dual Degrees. IE publishes the full breakdown for this one: 20 questions across Algebra, Calculus, Linear algebra, Geometry, and Probability & statistics.
15 minutes — Business Administration (BBA), Economics (BIE), Philosophy Politics Law and Economics (PPLE), and their Dual Degrees. Algebra and calculus, including equations, inequalities, limits, derivatives and integrals. No calculator required.
Applying to anything else? You sit no Mathematics Assessment at all — just the four aptitude sections.
You get access as soon as you buy. Start untimed to learn what each area is asking, then switch to timed runs — that is where the value is on this test. Practise until finishing feels less important than answering accurately at speed.

Every number here is published by IE University. We have deliberately left out acceptance rates and score benchmarks: IE publishes neither, and anyone quoting them is guessing.

The two sections nobody is meant to finish
37 numerical tasks in 12 minutes. 49 verbal tasks in 12 minutes. That is roughly 19 and 15 seconds each, and IE's own instruction is to finish as many as you can. The skill is deciding fast and moving on — both sections ask the same thing in different materials: is this statement true, given only what you have been shown?

The two areas almost nobody prepares for
Deductive logical thinking asks you to find the rule governing a graphic and fill the empty cell. Learning efficiency asks you to remember objects shown very briefly, in the right order. Neither has a published syllabus, and IE gives no question count for either. What they reward is familiarity — knowing the task before the timer starts, rather than spending your first thirty seconds working out what is being asked.

The part of this test you can genuinely study
This is the only section with real subject matter, and it is newer than most guides realise — IE's test page carried no maths assessment at all in 2024. For Science & Technology programmes it is 60 minutes and 20 questions; for BBA, BIE and PPLE it is 15 minutes of algebra and calculus. We cover both, and you practise the one your programme actually sets.

There is no second go, and no score to learn from
IE states it plainly: the Admissions Test can only be taken once, and your result goes directly to the Admissions Committee and is not shared with you. So there is no diagnostic first attempt and no feedback loop. Your practice scores are the only measurement of your level you will ever get — which is exactly why they should be taken under the real clock.
